MesenPass is a utility software, designed to help users recover their passwords from various instant messaging services.
It supports many instant messaging services like MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ Lite, AOL, Miranda, Trillian, MySpace, IM, PalcockCine and Digby.
The software retrieves passwords for users who are currently logged in and who click “Remember Password” in any of the supported IM services. It is not designed to bypass the passwords of other users of the computer.
MessenPass provides users with quick results with an account name and password, which can be copied to the clipboard or saved as an Excel or text file.

- Version 1.43:
- Removed the command-line options that export the passwords to a file from the official version. A version of this tool with full command-line support will be posted on separated Web page.

- Added ‘Mark Odd/Even Rows’ option, under the View menu. When it’s turned on, the odd and even rows are displayed in different color, to make it easier to read a single line.

- Added ‘Copy Password’ option (Ctrl+P).

- Added an option to export the passwords into KeePass csv file (In ‘Save Selected Items’). You can use the created csv file to easily import your messenger passwords into KeePass password manager.

Installing masonpass
Messenpass can be used without any installation process, simply by running an executable file (mspass.exe) from a zip file.
If you want to install mesenpass with automatic creation of program group icons and uninstall support, download and run the self-install executable file.
Using masonpass
When you run MessenPass, it automatically detects the Instant Messenger application installed on your computer, decrypts the password they store, and displays all the username / password pairs that it mesenpasses. You can specify the ‘~’ prefix character (e.g: “~User”) if you want to sort in descending order. Translating MessenPass to other languages
MessenPass allows you to easily translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and other strings to other languages.
In order to do that, follow the instructions below:
- Run MessenPass with /savelangfile parameter:
mspass.exe /savelangfile
A file named mspass_lng.ini will be created in the folder of MessenPass utility. - Open the created language file in Notepad or in any other text editor.
- Translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and string entries to the desired language.
- After you finish the translation, Run MessenPass, and all translated strings will be loaded from the language file.
If you want to run MessenPass without the translation, simply rename the language file, or move it to another folder.
License
This utility is released as freeware. You are allowed to freely use it at your home or in your company. However, you are not allowed to make profit from this software or to charge your customers for recovering their passwords with this software, unless you got a permission from the software author.
You are also allowed to freely distribute this utility via floppy disk, CD-ROM, Internet, or in any other way, as long as you don’t charge anything for this. If you distribute this utility, you must include all files in the distribution package, without any modification !
